A Place For Me
We are dedicated to providing an enriching and fun experience that will help children take their next steps toward Christ. The A Place For Me ministry exists for the families of Grace Community Church as an attempt to offer the best possible experience for children with disabilities ages Infant - 5th Grade.
The partnership of a "buddy" allows children to receive the personal attention they need to get the most out of their weekly experience at Grace. A “buddy” is a Children’s Ministry volunteer who is paired one-to-one with each child based on their personality and unique needs along with the skills of the volunteer. Children’s Ministry makes every effort to find qualified buddies, although a buddy match is not guaranteed as APFM is a volunteer ministry. This process could take from 6 weeks to 6 months.
How to get started:
If you are ready to launch your child into this experience at Grace, supported by an APFM buddy, please decide which service you will regularly attend, and fill out the Buddy Request form below and return it to the totZone or kidZone Check-In. Once a buddy is secured, someone from Children’s Ministry will contact you to set up an orientation opportunity for the buddy to meet your child on a Sunday morning to attend class together.
After orientation, you will be asked to complete a "Child's Profile" which requires more detailed information.
Please contact us for more information.
