Q – What are the benefits of giving online?
A – There are several benefits of giving online:
1. You’re fulfilling your good intentions…most of us want to give regularly but busyness, absences and distractions frustrate our good intentions.
2. You will simplify your life…by giving automatically on the schedule and date you decide. No writing a check, remembering to bring it, or sending it to church if you miss.
3. You will be helping the church…making record keeping much easier and income more consistent.
4. You are taking a step of faith…deciding in advance to faithfully give.
Q – Can I schedule recurring electronic donations?
A – Yes, you can! You can login to your City account, click on the “Giving” tab on the left and then select one of the options in the “When?” dropdown menu. Your options are: Immediately, One future date, Once a week, Every two weeks, Once a month and Twice a month. If you don’t have an account on The City, you’ll need to create one in order to schedule recurring donations. (Click here to find out how)
Q – How do I change or delete my scheduled donations?
A – Once you’re logged into your City account, click on the “Giving” tab on the left and then the “Donation Status” tab at the top. From there, you can change or delete your scheduled donations.
Q – How can I see what I’ve given?
A – Beginning in 2012, you can see your giving status online by logging into your City account. Once you’re logged into your City account, click on the “Giving” tab on the left and then the “My Giving” tab at the top.
Q – How will I get a giving statement for tax purposes?
A – Beginning in 2012, you can print your giving statement from your City account. Once you’re logged into your City account, click on the “Giving” tab on the left and then the “My Giving” tab at the top. From there, you can export your report to a pdf file that can be printed and included with your tax records.
